Historic pub in Oxford, with good beer. C15-C16, altered. The North front is a 3-storeyed timber-framed front with an overhang remaining above a modern shop front. On the West side of the passage way on the East of the house, which leads to the Chequers Inn, is some original C15 studding with the remains of two original timber doorways one with roses on the lintel; there are some original moulded beams on the lintel over the way.
