Listed Royal Palace in Kensington. Originally built 1661 for Sir Heneage Finch, first Earl of Nottingham. Bought by William III, 1689 and renamed Kensington House. New Buildings by Sir Christopher Wren 1689-1695. Alterations and additions 1718-1726 and later, including State Rooms by William Kent.

The Palace as been a residence of the British Royal Family since the 17th century, and is the official London residence of Prince Harry of Wales.  It was the official residence of Diana, Princess of Wales (from 1981 until her death in 1997), Princess Margaret (from 1960 until her death in 2002) and Princess Alice (from 1994 until her death in 2004). The State Rooms are open to the public and managed by the independent charity Historic Royal Palaces.
